The South Australian Women's cricket team (also known as the South Australian Scorpions and nicknamed "Scorps") is an Australian first-class cricket team based in Adelaide, South Australia. The Scorpions play their home matches at Park 25, which is located in the heart of the Adelaide City. The Scorpions are the official state women's team for South Australia, competing in the Women's National Cricket League, in both 50 over and Twenty20 formats. Their uniform features a red body with black sleeves and black stripes down the leg. ==History== Six of the Scorpion players have achieved something that most crickets can only dream of, representing their country internationally. Karen Rolton, Shelley Nitschke, Lauren Ebsary and Megan Schutt have all represented the Australian Southern Stars with their classy talent. While youngster Bridget Patterson has recently been listed in the Australian Shooting Stars squad. Beth Morgan, the recruit from England, also represented her country before she came to Australia.
